Capital Goods shares fall

Among the components of the S&P BSE Capital Goods index, AIA Engineering Ltd (down 2.46%), Sona BLW Precision Forgings Ltd (down 1.49%),Honeywell Automation India Ltd (down 1.26%),Thermax Ltd (down 1.09%),Schaeffler India Ltd (down 1.09%), were the top losers. Among the other losers were CG Power & Industrial Solutions Ltd (down 1%), Larsen & Toubro Ltd (down 0.98%), Lakshmi Machine Works Ltd (down 0.89%), Elgi Equipments Ltd (down 0.86%), and Carborundum Universal Ltd (down 0.73%).

On the other hand, Praj Industries Ltd (up 3%), Polycab India Ltd (up 2.55%), and Grindwell Norton Ltd (up 1.62%) moved up.

At 13:44 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 175.94 or 0.27% at 66185.09.

The Nifty 50 index was up 49.9 points or 0.25% at 19724.15.

The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 133.29 points or 0.36% at 37190.77.

The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was up 32.57 points or 0.29% at 11171.98.

On BSE,1976 shares were trading in green, 1687 were trading in red and 205 were unchanged.
