Industrials shares edge lower

Among the components of the S&P BSE Industrials index, Venus Pipes & Tubes Ltd (down 12.39%), Jupiter Wagons Ltd (down 5%),GMR Power & Urban Infra Ltd (down 4.99%),KSB Ltd (down 3.46%),MTAR Technologies Ltd (down 3.35%), were the top losers. Among the other losers were Rossell India Ltd (down 3.27%), KEI Industries Ltd (down 3.16%), AIA Engineering Ltd (down 2.46%), Shakti Pumps (India) Ltd (down 2.45%), and Harsha Engineers International Ltd (down 2.44%).

On the other hand, IRB Infrastructure Developers Ltd (up 10.68%), Apollo Micro Systems Ltd (up 8.78%), and Likhitha Infrastructure Ltd (up 7.54%) moved up.

At 13:44 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 175.94 or 0.27% at 66185.09.

The Nifty 50 index was up 49.9 points or 0.25% at 19724.15.

The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 133.29 points or 0.36% at 37190.77.

The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was up 32.57 points or 0.29% at 11171.98.

On BSE,1976 shares were trading in green, 1687 were trading in red and 205 were unchanged.
