Healthcare shares fall

Among the components of the S&P BSE Healthcare index, Bliss GVS Pharma Ltd (down 5.05%), Max Healthcare Institute Ltd (down 4.02%),Caplin Point Laboratories Ltd (down 3.53%),Indoco Remedies Ltd (down 3.31%),NGL Fine Chem Ltd (down 3.17%), were the top losers. Among the other losers were Gland Pharma Ltd (down 2.82%), Gufic BioSciences Ltd (down 2.79%), Sequent Scientific Ltd (down 2.77%), Rainbow Childrens Medicare Ltd (down 2.76%), and Vijaya Diagnostic Centre Ltd (down 2.63%).

On the other hand, Rajnish Wellness Ltd (up 9.67%), Advanced Enzyme Technologies Ltd (up 9.14%), and Thyrocare Technologies Ltd (up 5.42%) moved up.

At 13:48 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 257.37 or 0.37% at 69553.51.

The Nifty 50 index was up 45.6 points or 0.22% at 20900.7.

The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 9.75 points or 0.02% at 41108.96.

The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was down 3.01 points or 0.02% at 12180.32.

On BSE,1813 shares were trading in green, 1879 were trading in red and 159 were unchanged.
