Fitch Ratings assigned a 'BBB-' rating to Bank of Maharashtra’s USD 500 million Euro Medium Term Note Programme

Bank of Maharashtra announced that Fitch Ratings has assigned a 'BBB-' rating to its USD 500 million Euro Medium Term Note Programme, establishing it on September 4, 2026, and affirming the existing rating for the USD 500 million MTN Programme, alongside a new rating for the USD 500 million MTN Programme; Fitch also assigned a 'BBB-' rating to the bank's Senior Unsecured Notes, and Senior Unsecured Notes, and a new rating of BB(xgs) to the senior unsecured notes linked to the MTN Programme, while the Long-Term IDR remains at 'BBB-' and is equalised with the Indian sovereign's IDR, reflecting extraordinary state support, with a Viability Rating of 'bb' and a Long-Term IDR (xgs) aligned with that rating, and a VR rating; the agency has also withdrawn ratings related to the MTN Programme and senior unsecured instruments, reflecting the new assignments and initial ratings for the USD 500 million MTN Programme.
