1. Stock Brokers can accept securities as margin from clients only by way of pledge in the depository system w.e.f. September 1, 2020.
2. Update your mobile number & email Id with your stock broker/depository participant and receive OTP directly from depository on your email id and/or mobile number to create pledge.
3. Pay 20% upfront margin of the transaction value to trade in cash market segment.
4. Investors may please refer to the Exchange's Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) issued vide circular reference NSE/INSP/45191 dated July 31, 2020 and NSE/INSP/45534 dated August 31, 2020 and other guidelines issued from time to time in this regard.
5. Check your Securities /MF/ Bonds in the consolidated account statement issued by NSDL/CDSL every month.
6. All the clients having Demat accounts with our company are requested to provide the following details if already not provided during Demat account opening for keeping their account status active – a. All investors are requested to take note that 6 KYC attributes i.e. Name, PAN, Address, Mobile Number, Email id and Income Range have been made mandatory. Investors availing custodian services will be additionally required to update the custodian details.
The last date to update KYC is on or before June 30, 2022.
Thereafter non-compliant trading accounts will be blocked for trading by the Exchange.
The non-compliant DEMAT Accounts will be frozen for debits by Depository Participant or Depository.
On submission of the necessary information to the stockbroker and updation of the same by the stockbroker in the Exchange systems and approval by the Exchange, the blocked trading accounts shall be UNBLOCKED by the Exchange on T+1 trading day.
The DEMAT Account shall be UNFREEZED once the investor submits the deficient KYC details and the same is captured by the depository participant in the depository system.
To ensure smooth settlement of trades, the investors are requested to ensure that both the Trading and DEMAT Accounts are compliant with respect to the KYC requirement.
The investors are hereby requested to comply with the regulatory guidelines issued by Exchanges and Depositories from time to time with regard to KYC compliance and related requirements.”

SEBI/HO/MIRSD/RTAMB/CIR/P/2021/601 dated July 23, 2021 had mandated submission of nomination details/declaration for opting out of nomination for investors opening new trading and or Demat account(s) on or after October 01, 2021 and had also provided the option for existing investors to provide for nomination or opt-out of nomination; thus SEBI, vide circular no. SEBI/HO/MIRSD/MIRSD_RTAMB/P/CIR/2022/23 dated February 24, 2022 and SEBI/HO/MIRSD/MIRSD-PoD-1/P/CIR/2023/158 dated September 26, 2023, SEBI/HO/MIRSD/POD-1/P/CIR/2023/193 Circular Ref. No. SEBI/HO/MIRSD/POD-1/P/CIR/2024/81 dated June 10, 2024. SEBI Circular no. SEBI/HO/OIAE/OIAE_IAD-3/P/ON/2025/01650 dated January 10, 2025, regarding revise and revamp nomination facilities in the Indian securities market.
Thus, Investors are requested to promptly do the needful to avoid freezing of their accounts. The aforesaid communication is to be ignored if the nomination details or opt-out of nomination have been already provided.
